The Entaniya Fisheye HAL 220 series lenses are available in HAL 220 PL and HAL 220 LF.
The differences between the two lenses are explained below.
The difference in image size
The most significant difference between the HAL 220 PL and the HAL 220 LF is the image size.
The HAL 220 PL has a maximum image circle of 29.8 mm, which covers the diagonal of a standard Super 35 sensor.
The HAL 220 LF has a maximum image circle of 46.3 mm, based on a full-frame sensor called Large Format, which covers RED’s 8K VV sensor 40.96 mm x 21.60 mm (diagonal: 46.31 mm).
If you want to use the lens as a diagonal fisheye lens, you can consider the HAL 220 PL for Super 35 and the HAL 220 LF for large format.
The HAL 220 PL can be used with a large-format sensor when a circular image is required for dome imaging applications, etc. The appropriate lens depends on the application and purpose.

Different types of mounts
HAL 220 PL is only available in PL mount.
HAL 220 LF is available in PL mount and LPL mount. if you choose LPL mount, PL mount adapter is also included and the mount part can be replaced. (By replacing the mount, the lens can be used as a PL mount lens or LPL mount.)
The difference in size and weight
HAL 220 LF is larger than HAL 220 PL.

The difference in back focus
The distance from the rearmost part of the lens to the sensor (back focus) differs between HAL 220 PL and HAL 220 LF.
Note that HAL 220 PL may interfere with filters and other objects inside the camera depending on the camera when used with a focal length of 7 mm or less.
