As of November 2019, Panasonic\u2019s LUMIX GH5 and Entaniya Fisheye HAL 200 MFT 3.6 combined systems are the main professional equipment for shooting 3D 180 VR, but with the increasing use of large format cameras, we\u2019re getting more and more inquiries about whether the full-size LUMIX S1H can shoot 3D 180 VR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to install the Entaniya Fisheye HAL on the Panasonic LUMIX S1H<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The lens mount for the Panasonic LUMIX S1H is an L-mount that is used by Leica, SIGMA and Panasonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Entaniya Fisheye HAL series lens mounts are MFT mount, SONY E mount, C mount, and EF mount, none of which are compatible with the L mount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, using a mount conversion adapter, you may be able to attach it to a camera with a different mount format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of the Entaniya Fisheye HAL series, EF mount lenses can be attached to L mount cameras using a mount converter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both lenses have large image circles, so they can be used as circumferential fisheye lenses in full-size formats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other methods are adapters that convert EF mounts to Leica M mounts and adapters that convert Leica M mounts to Leica L mounts, which are sold by many mount converter manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The combination of these two mount converters allows you to attach an EF mount lens to an L mount camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SIGMA\u2019s MC-21 mount converter has electronic contacts, but the Entaniya Fisheye HAL EF mount lens has a protruding rear group that interferes with the mount converter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Removing the inside of the mount adapter is easy enough to do in about 10 minutes with a precision screwdriver, but you may lose the manufacturer\u2019s warranty or be unable to return to the original. Please work at your own risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, even if EF-L mount converters are sold by other companies, they may interfere with EF-L mount converters that have electronic contacts and may not be able to be installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The image circle size of the Entaniya Fisheye HAL 200 EF 6.0 is 180\u00b0 = \u03c618.2mm \/ 200\u00b0 = \u03c619.9m, so the circumferential image will be taken with about 2mm above and below the full size sensor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The image circle size of the Entaniya Fisheye HAL 250 EF 6.0 is 180\u00b0 = \u03c618.2mm \/ 250\u00b0 = \u03c623.7mm; the sensor size of the Panasonic S1H is 35.6mm x 23.8mm, so if the numbers are correct, the entire circumferential image will fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, in the actual photo, the top and bottom seem to be cut off just a little bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This doesn\u2019t mean that a sensor smaller than the number is used. I think this is because the sensor is cropped on the inside. The actual shooting size seems to be about 23mm in height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
