The “Ex Anima VR” at Zingaro theatre, a project of French film production company ATLAS V, was shot using Sony’s high-end cinema cameras Cine Alta VENICE and Entaniya Fisheye HAL250 E 6.0.
Sony Cine Alta VENICE
High end cinema camera
Sony’s high-end cinema camera, the Cine Alta VENICE, is a cinema camera with a 35mm full-size sensor.
The full-size sensor allows you to capture beautiful images with a wide dynamic range.
It can also shoot 6K high resolution and is undoubtedly one of the best cameras for high quality VR shooting applications.
Entaniya Fisheye HAL250 E 6.0
It was done by ATLAS V on a Cine Alta VENICE with an Entaniya Fisheye HAL250 E 6.0mm and two Canon 8-15mm on RED Gemini.
The Entaniya Fisheye HAL250 E 6.0 has been customized with scales and gears.
“Ex Anima VR” at Zingaro theatre
The way it was done with one Sony Cine Alta VENICE and the Entaniya Fisheye HAL250 E 6.0 is amazing!
This image was taken with the Entaniya Fisheye HAL250 E 6.0 attached on Sony Cine Alta VENICE and suspended from the ceiling.
When taking advantage of the viewing angle of the Entaniya Fisheye HAL250, setting the lens upward is a common practice, but this is not the case.
It’s a very clever way to take images even if the subject is near or directly below the camera, because the camera is suspended so that the blind spot of the lens is only in the ceiling.
Zingaro
Zingaro is a performing arts group based in Paris, France, where people and horses work together. It is highly acclaimed for its fantastic performances woven by man and horses.
One of Zingaro’s performances, Ex Anima, was filmed in VR during this shoot. There is a performance like a horse running around in the center of the camera, which suggests that this is a performance suitable for VR. This means that people viewing this VR will be viewing from the center of the stage from a place that would never be possible under normal circumstances.
Here is a group photo of the people who were involved in this project. The perspective from the suspended camera is likely to be taken from a video shot with the Sony Cine Alta VENICE and Entaniya Fisheye HAL250 E 6.0. It’s beautiful.
